Form 6 Estimated Testing Times

Form 6 contains operational items and Writing domain field test items. The estimated minutes in Table 1 through Table 7 are provided as a basis for planning.

For each domain of the test, allow an additional five to ten minutes to log on to the test examiner device, the student testing device, and to read directions. Actual testing times may be shorter if the student exits the test at a stopping marker. Actual testing times may be longer than estimated testing times since the Summative ELPAC is an untimed test.

Individual administration is defined as a one-on-one administration between a single student and a test examiner. Group administration is defined as a group of students, up to 20, being administered the assessment by one test examiner.

Based on ongoing evaluation of testing data, grades three through twelve students are taking a longer time to input responses in the Writing domain than anticipated. In order to minimize the testing burden placed on students, consider whether a student could benefit from having a Designated Interface Assistant designated support available to assist with typing Writing item responses.
